Fire trucks continued

And then the three firemen & one firewoman snuck up behind us ( well they didn't really sneak up on us but we were all giggling so hard we didn't hear them walking up behind us). They were so nice, gave the kids a sticker & pencils & then let them sit in the back of the fire truck showing them there hats, sirens & lights. Such a great experience, thank you so much to our local fire men & women for brightening up our day!

The kids and I were out enjoying the cool weather with a walk to our local Starbucks when our attention quickly turned towards the beautiful, big, Red fire truck. We had so much fun taking pictures of ourselves standing in front of the truck.....

Our Mom was predeceased by our Dad in 2007. Mom is survived by her 10 children, Rosalind, Susan, Mark (Pauline), Barrie (Bonnie), Leah (Boris), Leslie (Murray), Emily (Herb), Bonita (Darren), Kerry, and (baby) Deene, 22 Grand-children and 27 Great-grandchildren. At Mom's request there will be a Memorial Service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on East Saanich Rd. at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2011. It is requested that in lieu of flowers please send donations to the Palliative Care Unit at Saanich Peninsula Hospital. 643420

Puzzles

Anderson is sooooo good at puzzles! He can sit & do his dinosaur puzzle, complete it, mess it up & do it again over & over. Love it!

My Granny

My 88 year old Granny has had a rough couple of months. We've all thought we were going to lose her numerous times but she's always bounced back. This time were not sure if she will : ( last week i was able to go to the island to give her kisses, hugs, comb her hair & tell her I love her. She has now been moved into the palliative wing at the hospital. Please keep my granny in your thoughts. We love you Granny, xxoo

Gabrielle turns 1

This Sunday It was our good friends Amy & Regan's little girls 1st Birthday Celebration. Gabrielle was born with I-Cell disease (a terminal disease). On Sunday Amy & Regan had friends, family, nurses & doctors over to celebrate this wonderful occasion. Happy 1st birthday to one of the sweetest girls I know!

Pumpkin Patch!

This year we ventured out to Aldor Acres pumpkin patch. We usually go to Hazelmere but Lily wanted to try domewhere new & we were not disappointed! There was so much to do, a huge (separate) area for the kids to touch baby bunnies (2 weeks old) baby pigs (3 months old) baby chickens, goats, horses & cows! We played on the baby tractor, took a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch! The pumpkins were in abundance so we could choose any color & size we wanted. Let's just say we will have lots of pumpkins for Halloween night!

Kids & masks = FUN

Last weekend we did a last minute pit stop @ Art Knapp to go see the chickens & pick up some potted mums for our front door. Well we did leave with the flowers which made mommy ver happy we also left with two Halloween masks (superhero masks to the kids). The kids have played with these masks everyday for hours that is the best $4.00 I have spent in a long time ; )

First Day of 4 year Preschool

Today marked the first day of 4 year Preschool. Lily was so excited to see her friends & teachers, it was really cute! She had a great day & is already looking forward to school again on Friday! Love u big girl! Xx

Camping

We have had an AMAZING Summer Camping-32 days & nights (& were trying to figure out if we can do one more!)
We camped @ BC Parks (Lac le Juene, Kokannee Creek,& Ellison Lake) KOA in Burlington, WA, Brookvale Family Campground in Osoyoos & Fairmont Hot Springs (in Fairmont, BC. All were fabulous & fun for their own reasons. But the main thing we all got out of these trips was the quality time we got with each other as a family-which to me is Priceless!

Fathers Day

A week ago we ventured down to Seattle for Fathers day. We celebrated with swimming, dinner out, a little bit of shopping (picture taken @ Pikes Market) and then almost a full day @ the Seattle Zoo! The Seattle Zoo is one of our favorite places to go ( the first time we went was shortly after we lost Trevor, and now we go once or twice a year). Up until this visit we always fed a Giraffe but this visit we fed Chai the Elephant! Such a neat experience! Happy fathers day my love! Xxoo

First camping trip of the Season

May long weekend, first camping trip of the season, first time pulling the trailer behind the truck - making it to Lac le juene park (over the Coqihaulla) = PRICELESS ; )
We had a great time, talking, relaxing, drinking, chalk drawing, riding bikes, laughing, playing, fishing (lily caught her first fish ever watch for a separate post ; ) roasting marshmallows - it was awesome to get away! Xx

Royal Wedding

Did you know that there was a really big wedding last week? The kids and I had our own high tea (& cupcakes) while we watched the Royal Wedding. The kids and I has a great time, it was so neat to share this moment of history with them.

Easter Bunny

The kids were really excited Easter morning knowing that the Easter Bunny came while they were sleeping. They did their very first real Easter Egg hunt! Lots of laughs and way too much chocolate made for a great day!

Well, we bought a trailer but had nothing to tow it (yes, a little backwards) today Aaron picked up his new (2009 F150 Lariat) truck! We are ready to go! Oh wait, it's only April ; )

Spring, is that you?

The last few days have really felt like Spring. The weather is finally warming up, our tulips & daffodils are blooming, the lawn is mowed, back yard pressure washed and the kids want to play outside everyday, all day. We love you Winter but we are so ready for Spring!

Our new to us trailer

Last weekend we purchased a new to us 2008 Jayco trailer! We've been looking for the perfect one (for us) for 8 months. We visited RV lots figuring out which configuration we liked and then there it was on Craigslist-it's perfect! We picked it up last weekend (thanks Derek). Now we have to find something to tow it, lol! We are so excited for summer and the upcoming camping season! Wheeee!

I love MY brother!

Right now I'm standing in the kitchen prepping dinner. I cant help but stop what I'm doing, smile, listen & watch lily and Anderson play so nicely (& quietly) together. Their little voices changing as they move from character to character. It is very cute! Boy I live them! I'm a very lucky mommy <3

Lily's Robot

The last couple of days Lily and Anderson have wanted to make a robot (thank you daddy & Treehouse (kids cartoon channel)) so yesterday afternoon the three if us raided my craft box and baking cupboard and made a robot! Lily loves her robot and has played with her non- stop! Love her imagination! Xx

It had been awhile since I posted. For some reason when I would try and upload from my BB it wouldn't work. So far so good with my new IPhone. We've had a busy couple of months with Christmas, family visits, our wonderful cousins from NZ (Shane, Tracey and their 3 lovely girls Alyssa, Caitlin and Holly). A great trip to Las Vegad (minus Aaron getting the Norwalk virus and passing it on to all of us! But that is another story for another time : )
Anderson just turned 2 on January 13 and Lily is turning 4 on February 13. They are definitely not babies anymore, as I sit and quickly upload this they are playing doctor on the floor
